Are you wondering where to begin…

A brick engraving fundraiser is an easy and personable way to create a connection between the donor and the fundraising organization. A few key elements to first think of is; how big your space is and which pavers will best fill that space. Something to consider when choosing your pavers is offering different sizes. People who are able to will usually donate more money for a larger brick, when it is available. Call or come in and we can help you look through what works best for your fundraiser. Once you have all of this your are ready to start!

A few good ways to keep your cost low is to employ a local printing shop by offering a brick with their company name for printing your fliers. Newspapers are always looking for a good story to publish. So contact your local paper and tell them your story or the purpose of your fundraiser. Another avenue is to create a Facebook event to create awareness. We hope this helps and look forward to helping you fulfill your brick paving fundraising needs.

All 9 Biggby coffee shops in Macomb County are participating. When you stop in anytime of the day you can make a minimal donation of $1 or more by purchasing an “icon” donations card. You write your name on the card, hang on the wall, and let your community know that you are supporting the troops that paid the ultimate price in the Global War on Terror. Graphic Communications Inc. of Shelby Township and Prism Printing of Macomb Township donated their services to design and print these donation cards. Lincoln Granite is proud to be apart of such a great community project. Donations can also be made at various civic and veteran offices throughout the city.

First Responders Memorial is now set in place…

This four sided granite obelisk has taken its residence next to the Veterans Monument in Heritage Park. This was resurrected in memory of Constable Elisha B. Moore of the Algonac PD, the day before the 107th anniversary of his death. He was killed after 20 years of service in the line of duty January 18th, 1905. We were able to take the ideas provided and create this memorial to pay tribute to not only Elisha Moore but to pay honor to all First Responders of this area. The North side of the monument has the Fireman’s Prayer with support from Clay Township and Harsens Island. The East side has the dedication to all first responders with support from Walpole Island. The South side has the Police Officer’s prayer with support from Ira Township. The West side is the dedication to Elisha Moore from Algonac. Come stop by Heritage park and visit this beautiful monument.

A new shipment of bricks is on their way over to Lincoln Granite today to start Phase II of the Chrysler Lynch Road project. Noel Holley and his committee raised the money towards the project with the funds from brick engraving. The unique black granite monument and engraved bricks were installed on Lynch Road just south of 6 Mile Rd in Detroit, MI. The response from the project has been so enthusiastic that they have opened up another brick engraving order.

Noel Holley would like to invite anyone who wants to honor a veteran to purchase a 4×8 brick to be placed in the walkway at this location. He can be reached at 313-330-4987.
